Long before intimidating health clubs,  fitness "rules", 5-6-7-8s or dance "technique", we wiggled, moved and simply grooved our bodies to music.


The GROOVE Method™ is a revolutionary approach to teaching dance, fitness or any group-based physical activities.  Co-creators of The GROOVE Method™, Misty Tripoli and Melanie Guertin, M.Ed., combined their health, fitness, dance, physical education and teaching expertise to provide instructors and teachers with a way of teaching group-based classes that focus on authentic participant engagement through simple movement and the discovery of each person's unique style.


The key principles of The GROOVE Method are:

#1 Music inspires the movements that are taught and it inspires the way that each person 'styles' the moves their own unique way!

#2 Simple movements allow everyBODY to successfully execute the dance move - letting them be driven by their own DANCE experience (eg. not worrying about getting it right, or what move comes next) and so experiencing the health benefits of dancing!

#3 EveryBODY unifies in a common movement or rhythm, then each person expresses it their own way!

The GROOVE Method™ is a new approach that provides a great aerobic and cardio workout that is a true fusion of dance and fitness.

GROOVEmethod™ classes provide a safe and fun environment to explore the possibilities of movement so that each person has the opportunity to find their own unique way to move.

GROOVEmethod™ Facilitators across the globe are helping ‘groovers’ to move beyond how they "look" to how they "feel" so they can experience and celebrate the unique expression of their body, and start moving in a way that feels good in their body.
